Welcome to Grace Lutheran Church in Scarsdale, NY, a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We are very happy to welcome our new permanent pastor, Stephanie Kershner. The congregation voted to call her as pastor on October 2, and while her official start date is October 30th, she will already lead us in worship on Sundays going forward!
Pastor Stephanie comes with a wonderful capability to connect to all ages, vision for leadership, enthusiasm for youth ministry, and, despite this being her first call, impressive experience in pastoral care. We are very excited to start a new chapter in the life of our congregation with Pastor Stephanie!
We are also very happy to announce that Bishop Rimbo will personally preside over Pastor Stephanie's ordination rite in a special Worship Service on Saturday, December 10. We are very blessed to be able to start Pastor Stephanie's ministry with such a special occasion! We'll announce the exact time of the service soon, so check back on the events page or the blog for more info to come.
As always, all are invited. You do not need to be Lutheran or a member of this church to visit or join!
Service Times
Sunday Worship: 10:00 AM
Social gathering following worship service.
Sunday School: Every Sunday, we offer Children's Time at the beginning of the Worship Service. Afterwards, the children leave the service for Sunday School, which is comprised of activities and lessons based on that Sunday\'s church lessons. The children rejoin the service for communion. For the lessons, we follow the Spark Bible curriculum.
